UK dutty, WATERLINES are
a dynamic 4-piece metalcore band hailing from the North West and Yorkshire,
ready to take the UK metalcore scene by storm. Formed
in 2022, WATERLINES are quickly gaining recognition for
their unique blend of metalcore, nu-metal and EDM party vibes.
WATERLINES were
born from former band Sertraline in November 2022. Vocalist Benji Mars said:
"When I started with the band in March
2022, we knew we wanted to explore a different direction and find our horizon.
I guess at the time we didn’t really understand what that meant, but when “Halo
Around the Horns” was born and we started to tweak it, we knew this wasn’t
Sertraline anymore. We explored our options and had more than a few
conversations about how we felt, but when we played it live, we knew there and
then that what was Sertraline, would become WATERLINES."
WATERLINES have wasted no time in making their mark on the music scene
with a number of brand new single releases: Halo Around the Horns, KÖNIG, Prey
and Anti Human, a 100% moshpit success rate to date,
and prior to the name change, featured at festivals
including Takeover at Download Festival, TechFest and Radar.
In August 2023 they headlined the Jagermeister Stage
at Bloodstock Festival to riotous acclaim. A jam packed tent and heaving
bodies resulting in a bent King pole, and with punters and journalists writing
about their set being stand out and amongst their favourite of the whole
weekend.
As they look to the
future, WATERLINES have their sights set on bigger things.
They are gearing up for lots more live appearances in 2024 and are writing and
recording songs for their debut EP.
